I should be doing my homework right now... Or even cleaning my room but I was thinking long and hard about Street Pharm by Alison van Diepen.
Street Pharm is about a 17 year old drug dealer who falls in love with a girl. Ty Johnson is just carrying on his father's business, but when a new dealer comes to town he begins to worry. They begin threatening the people he loves including his new love Alyse. With twists and turns with his reality he must choose, the people he loves or his father's business.
The story was very well written. I loved the intensity in the story, with Alison's detail, it makes you feel like you are there falling in love and dealing drugs. I love the way she wrote everything, I felt like she did all of this herself and I highly doubt she did. I loved every single part from beginning to end. Just plan amazing.
For the first time ever I put notes in while I was reading (just sticky notes don't worry), so I wouldn't forget what I loved in the book. I loved all of Ty's feelings towards Alyse and it was special (in my opinion), there was also a lot of him missing her and that was so freaking adorable. I was like fangirling on my bed and I was so happy at the end of the story.
Rate: 9/10
I am giving this a nine out of ten because of the fact that a lot of stuff happened and sometimes it was hard to follow.
Comment: "It reminds me people can change."
Favourite character: Ty Johnson
Favourite quote: "Something was starting between me and Alyse. Something real."
