To Kill A Mocking Bird

Should schools still be reading To Kill A Mocking Bird? This subject is debatable.  (This is my personal opinion.  Please leave your opinions in the comments below.) Pros Touches upon important subjects such as: racism, prejudice, justice and judgement, being young, family, the difference between right and wrong, fear, etc. It is easy to understand, because of the point of view. The reader learns about racism and it is almost first hand. Honestly that is  all I can think of... Cons The story at time is difficult to understand with all of the southern slang.  As well as being in Scout's point of view not everything exactly makes sense, because it is only her understanding of everything. Personally I found it hard to stay interested.  It was very dragged out with unnecessary stories that just confused me. The use of the N word.  Sometime I read to my mom and the second I said what was written she told me a) never use that word, b) the scho...

The Heir by Kiera Cass

20 years ago, King Maxon and Queen America were married.  Living more then a happily ever after through a process called the Selection.   Letting them find each other through fate, and never letting them be separated.  Now it's time for their eldest daughter, Eadlyn, to be the very first Queen of IllĂ©a (instead of being married off to form alliances).  She is having 35 suitors brought into the palace to find a husband. If you have read the first 3 books in the Selection series, you'll not...

Update July 4th

Happy July the 4th (I'm not American but I can try to be), I missed Canada Day (I know, but I was moving homes and I didn't have any internet [so I painted my room]).  My apologies for not posting more.  Like I mentioned before I was moving cities and everything became everywhere.  I finished my exams, I feel that I did okay in all of them except for French; however it's never been a strong suit of mine.  I would tell you about relationships but I have none so there isn't much to tell.  Enjoying the single life, the single pringle, riding solo, etc.  It's a blast (not really I feel pretty alone) I have tons of things keeping me busy.  Like attempting to own a tumblr room.   I have this sweet photo that was taken in Texas in my room.  And I hung it straight first go (like what are the chances?!?!).  Next I'm going to be packing my book shelf and organizing my closet (knowing myself it'll be either colour coded or in alphabetical order). ...
