the Te of Piglet

Last review Monday was about the Tao of Pooh.  Now to the small animal of the A. A. Milne's Piglet from Winnie the Pooh is being used to describe the te (meaning virtue) of the small; one of the main principles in Taoism. This book made me so relaxed, and so pleased with the topics that were brought up in the book.  I was so happy.  They were topics I never knew how to explain how I felt and there it all was written in a book! Things like school, the government, the society, the environment, the increase in technology, and people's general well being.  These things have flaws and everything is taken care of in very inefficient ways and we all think or believe it is the right way of doing things. Couple of examples from the book with my point of view added: School/Education System: "Next we come to the Educated Eeyores, whose idea of teaching is impress the maximum number of Unpleasant Things upon children at the minimum possible age. " (Hoff, 70-71) This stateme...

Adding DIYs

Ugh I'm running out of fashion tips every time I do this! So I'm expanding *Places shades on and smiles like there is something wicked about to happen*.  I'm also now including DIYs.  Why?  Because everyone needs to save on money.   So why not make it affordable? Today I just found a couple pictures of easy hairstyles, since well I'm at school doing a massive catch up... I know it's not very efficient... And one more for today... That's all for today, unfortunately. So they call me Tyanna. I like keeping things short and sweet; just like me. Follow me on social media! I'll keep you updated! The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff

Some religions are hard to understand especially when aren't they your religion.  Sometimes it's easier to understand when it's explained when it's a completely different topic used to explain.  Like Winnie the Pooh.  Yes, A. A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh.  You don't know exactly who I'm talking about? Look on the right.  The yellow bear, with the red shirt, and the pot of honey? That's Winnie the Pooh, sometimes referred as Pooh Bear or even just Pooh. In Benjamin Hoff's novel about Taoism and Pooh, there is no actual plot.  He basically explains Taoism in a less complex format and uses Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Woods to learn about the religion. People often said it was crazy to use a Western theme with a Eastern religion that it would just be confusing.   But I learned so much about Taoism.  There seems to be something calming about this idea, this Way that things are done. My biggest problem was that there were th...

Okay, so people are bigger on the bottom and smaller up top.  This is called the pear shape.  (Example on the side.) Some people find it hard to dress being this shape so I'm giving some Do Not's. Fashion Tips for Men

Alright so reccently I was texting one of my best friends and he was asking me about my fashion tip Friday and how I never post about men's fashion.  Of course I didn't know what to talk about!  We talked and talked until an idea hit me, I could do some of my favourite outfits on men and like explain why.  Of course we both thought it seemed sort of stupid.  Then we decided that every man needs to take a woman shopping with them and this is basically the whole point of the article. When men go shopping alone they often just get whatever and don't often care how it looks on them.  To most guys it's just a shirt, or just a pair of jeans.  But when you bring someone who cares how you look they pick out shirts that bring out good features about you, this being men. My boyfriend for example, him and I both hate shopping.  He'll buy whatever he thinks would be funny to other people meanwhile I actually care what he wears out in public.  Leaving me to...

A New Hope by Robyn Carr

Everything goes wrong before they go right.  Ginger recently lost her baby and moved to Thunder Point with her cousin to start a new life.  Working in a flower shop she just adores her job there.  When a man with a similar story, that no one else knows about, runs into Ginger at the flower shop.  The two strangers begin to find out that they were almost meant to be together. Matt, the stranger from the flower shop, begins falling head over heels for Ginger.  She's nothing like his ex.  She's kind hearted and gentle, she puts everyone before herself.  Matt still has anger issues, and is willing to give anything to get Ginger to be the one he holds before he falls asleep. Can Ginger and Matt find their happy ending, together or apart? THIS BOOK HAS SOME GRAPHIC SCENES.  But honestly it was very well written.  I love how the author told the story, even though I was annoyed with all the different stories and the different character.  ...

"Mom? What shoes should I wear with these jeans?"

Have you ever asked your mom, "Mom? What shoes should I wear with these jeans?" when your going out.  I know I have!  I have always owed WAY to many shoes, but hey I need my shoes!  I have killer calves because of them.  So the real question is will these go with my outfit? I always wear skinny jeans .  Blue jeans I always roll the cuff and black or grey I leave them how they are. With tighter jeans you can wear high boots , as long as they are tucked in.  And ankle boots can work too.  Flats and heels as well. Boot cut was my thing in kindergarten.  I loved boot cut because my boots fit under my jeans. These pants work with everything . Flared pants : Heels and sneakers. Straight leg : Basic shoe, plain flats, or plain heels. Sorry if that was information overload, but I was trying to keep things quick, because this was a last minute thing and I'm busy (I know a surprise right?!?). Keeping it short and confusing, just like me! ...
